Ms. Leonard was invited to illustrate her next childrens's book in an independent bookstore in Key West.
"Voltaire Books" setup a
temporary studio for her in their storefront window. Residents and curious tourists stopped by daily as her illustrations progressed. Please be sure to stop in at Volitare Bookls in Key West, Florida to see some of the amimals for the upcoming alphabet book.

"Tree Top Books", a national chain of speciality children's books has picked up Ms. Leonard's first book she illustated.
She will be
doing a series of painting demonstrations along with a reading by the books author, Jeff Balco in their stores.
Ms. Leonard will participate in a group showing in Randolph-Macon College's public gallery in April 2008. The focus of the exhibit
is Animal Interpretations.
Currently, Randolph-Macon College holds one of her paintings, an oil piece depecting the historic Studio
Arts building, in their private collection.
For a third year, Kathryn Leonard has been invited to be the official artist for the annual "Senators Cup". This regatta will
benefit the "Living Classrooms" foundation. It is a top-level match race featuring future and past America's Cup Skippers from around
the world
